Since rejection is an accepted reality for myself as an artist, I used exhibition rejection letters as the source of inspiration for the series ‘a most difficult one. (A Selection From 2004-2009).’ Conceptually adopting the ‘Home Sweet Home’ aesthetic common in cross-stitch patterns, I re-contextualized the reading of these rejection letters by isolating a string of words, while maintaining reference to the formality of these letters.
