I wrote an invitation to my mom to create something of comfort for me so that I could then become something of comfort for her. She chose to crochet a large, one-piece cozy that she sewed me into. The technique of crocheting was chosen because it represents a skill that has been passed down through generations of women on the matriarchal side of my family. While in the cozy and in the domestic space of my mother's home, I positioned myself around her in various ways to become something of comfort for her.
