It began with collecting stones from places I traveled to. It continued with carrying stones in my pockets. It grew into me collecting stones with my nephew, Logan. Now, after six years, this collection has grown and there are stones in every room in my house, one in every purse that I own, and one in each of my coat pockets. They have taken on a life of their own. They are now objects that contain a story, a memory, and a location in our history because of our collective actions. In my practice I explore the ways we experience loss, avoid it, navigate it and face it. There is a process (we look, touch, remove, collect, organize, place, revisit, recollect) continues this exploration.
